2019 Leaf Collection

Leaves piled or bagged in the street near the curb will be picked up without charge by the City of Milton-Freewater crews starting Tuesday, November 12, 2019through Friday, December 6, 2019.

EVENT RULES:

*Each customer is allowed up to 800 lbs. with their ticket. 

*Each customer is allowed up to 4 tires that do not exceed 24” diameter.  ALL TIRES ARE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE RIM.

*No E-waste accepted (televisions, computers etc.) – Please E-cycle them.  It is FREE!  Call for information.

2019 Crack Sealing Press Release

In the weeks to come we will be preparing city streets to be crack sealed from SE 15th Avenue south to Key Boulevard.  It is imperative that you do not blow lawn clippings or other debris on the street surfaces to assist in expediting this process. Staff plans to begin maintenance on August 19, 2019 through September 6, 2019.  Staff will be conducting such maintenance between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on regular work days.

The City of Milton-Freewater Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center is hereby CLOSED for the remainder of the summer 2019 season due to emergency repairs.

Puncture Vine Removal Program

It’s that time of the year again…PUNCTURE VINE HUNTING SEASON!

Are you tired of removing puncture vine burs from your shoes, bicycle tires, and even your pets? Then please help the City of Milton-Freewater combat this pesky, noxious weed.

Beginning Thursday, July 11th, at 8:00 A.M. the City will pay a $1 per bag filled with puncture vine.

Please contact Code Enforcement with the Milton-Freewater Police Department at 722 South Main St. or call (541) 938-5511 to participate. Bags for the puncture vine will be provided to you by Code Enforcement.
