City Manager
City of Milton-Freewater Statement Regarding City Manager Contract Termination
The Milton-Freewater City Council made the decision to terminate the contract of our City Manager effective October 14th, 2025. We sincerely appreciate the dedication and service he has provided to our community during his short tenure. While we value his efforts, we recognize that this role was not the best fit for our community’s current needs and future direction. We plan to hire an interim City Manager within the next two weeks to help guide the city through this transition while the Council conducts a search for a full-time City Manager.
The City Council remains committed to ensuring a smooth transition and continuing to serve the residents of Milton-Freewater with transparency, professionalism, and a focus on our community’s priorities.
