CITY COUNCIL VACANCY - Ward 2

The City Council of the City of Milton-Freewater is accepting applications to fill a vacancy for a Ward 2 City Council position.

Candidates for the seat in question must be residents of Ward 2 for at least six months and be registered to vote.  The vacancy was created by the resignation of Emily Holden.  The term for this seat expires December 31, 2028.

Summer 2026 Aquatic Center Flyers

Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center Opens for the 2026 Season

The Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center at 200 DeHaven Street is kicking off another summer season with a pool opening weekend on June 6th and 7th.  Opening weekend hours include lap swim from 10:00–11:00 AM, open swim from 11:30 AM–5:30 PM, and facility rentals from 6:00–8:00 PM.

Open swim continues June 8–11 from 4:00–8:00 PM, with regular season hours beginning June 12th and running Monday through Sunday, including lap swim, open swim, water walking, and evening sessions.

City Council Quorum Notice - May 20, 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Milton-Freewater City Council will participate in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on May 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Freewater Park, 17 NE 8th Avenue. There may be a quorum of the council attending, but no deliberations or decisions will be conducted by the Milton-Freewater City Council during this time.
