Yantis Park

There are dozens of towering trees to provide shade in the spring and summer, plus beautiful color in the fall. There are picnic tables, clean restrooms, a children's play area, and (during the summer) a fun swimming pool/waterpark. There is also a walking trail that surrounds the park - perfect for a leisurely stroll. For the more adventurous, there is a steep uphill climb to a hilltop that provides a scenic vista of the area. There are three covered shelters for use and two ball fields and horseshoe pits.

Milton-Freewater City Light & Power now offers two ways for customers to purchase safe, clean renewable energy and to promote the growth of future renewable energy development.

Genealogy

Our genealogy/Local History Room contains a large collection of historical documents, photos, and newspapers dating back to the 1800's.  Due to the rare nature of some documents and the fragile nature of many of the items, this room is available by supervised appointment.

Request for Documents Form

Please fill out the following form to request records. After filling out the form staff will be in touch to acknowledge your request and will provide you with an estimate of fees to process you request. If you choose to have documents scanned they will be e-mailed to the address you provide to us.

Staff Time

$20.00 per hour, $5.00 minimum

Scanned copies

$1.00 per page for first ten pages, .25 per page after 10 pages

The library has many resources and programs for children of all ages! We have a children's play area, and thousands of books for children to check out. 

Regularly Scheduled events:

  • Storytime for children under 6: Every Thursday at 10:30
  • Bi-Monthly Holiday Parties including Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Halloween
  • Monthly evening Storytime for children of all ages
