ATTENTION Milton-Freewater Businesses
Umatilla County Public Health has distributed more KN95 Masks for Milton-Freewater Businesses to the City to disperse. Please call 541-938-8233, 541-938-8243 or 541-938-8242 if you are interested. A box of 20 masks will be distributed. This will be on a first come first serve basis until they are gone.

Chip seal street maintenance is planned to begin Tuesday, August 11, 2020

Work will take place as follows:

South Main Street beginning at the traffic signal light by Roff Real Estate and True Value north to Broadway Avenue; Broadway Avenue west to Sam’s Corner Market; north from Broadway Avenue at North Main Street to intersection of North Main and 8th Avenue near Freewater School; west on NW 8th Avenue to Lamb Street then north on Lamb Street to the City Limits.

This chip seal project has been contracted to be performed by Umatilla County Road Department.  Work is weather dependent and is subject to change.

Umatilla County Economic Development is offering $5,000 grants to small businesses that have been effected by COVID-19.  Distributed across Umatilla County by population. Please find application on County’s website or at your City Hall.

Milton-Freewater Pool – Updates to Summer Swim

The Joe Humbert Aquatic Center is updating its summer swim schedule effective immediately.  These changes are being made to help reduce concerns over social distancing and use of the pool during open swim. Pool staff has been adjusting the schedule since the pool opened to ensure compliance with required visibility for the lifeguards.

The Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center in Milton Freewater will remain open, but with some restrictions to maximum capacity, use of the slides and deep end of the pool. Maximum capacity of the pool will be capped at 50 patrons, and the slides and deep end of the pool will be closed for now.

Hours of operation will remain the same, although we will be cleaning the pool more frequently during the day which will result in one or two brief 30 minute breaks during the day to allow staff to thoroughly clean and sanitize.
