2024 Street Construction - Robbins Street Reconstruction

The Robbins Street Reconstruction Project is planned to start on April 15.  This project will install new water and sewer main lines, install new asphalt paving, and install new ADA curb ramps on Robbins Street from N Main St to NE 6th Ave.  A project map is included below.

City Council offers the City Manager position to Charles "Chad" Morris.

Charles (Chad) Morris has been with the City of Niceville, Florida, since 2001. He has been serving the city in a number of roles, including Director of Information Systems since 2001, Director of Purchasing since 2009, Project Manager of Special Projects since 2012, and he was named Deputy City Manager in February 2023. Mr. Morris has a Master of Public Administration degree from Troy University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida.

3/15/24 CITY MANAGER CANDIDATE UPDATE!! 
Staff has been given the green light to release additional information on the City Manager candidates.

Ben Burgener: Currently serving as City Manager of Stansfield, OR – population 2,500 (since 2019). Additional service as City Administrator of Ada, Minnesota and short term positions with Utah State Department of Transportation and private sector firms.

Parks and Recreation

The City of Milton-Freewater maintains approximately 52 acres of parks city-wide.  From mowing lawns, weed control, irrigation, general maintenance and restroom upkeep (March through October) our staff is constantly on the move to provide great outdoor recreation opportunities for our citizens and visitors.
