Orchard Park

This location offers a highly used RV sewage dumping station, restrooms (open year-round), picnic tables and serves as a stopover break for those traveling through.

Orchard Park is also home to Farmers Market that is held on Wednesday evening during the summer months.

Power Outages

System Reliability

Even with a modern and well-maintained system, we still occasionally experience a service interruption. Although long duration outages are rare, be prepared. Put together an emergency kit that is easily accessible in case of a lengthy power outage or other natural event. Supplies should include a flashlight, lantern, bottled water, easy to prepare food items, and a first aid kit. Many cordless phones do not work during outages. Have access to a conventional or cell phone.

City residents are proudly served by our own city-owned sanitation franchise.  The city owns two automated collection trucks, one hook truck and one drop box truck as well as a CAT, Compactor and Scraper for landfill operations.

Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center

Located in Yantis Park at the Corner of DeHaven Street and SW 2nd Ave, we provide aquatic recreation opportunities for all ages and abilities. Our facility is ADA-compliant and has zero-depth gradual entry access.

About 30 years ago, our citizens passed a general obligation bond to construct our current facility.  Construction began in the fall of 1995 and finished in the spring of 1996.  Our facility has a 25-meter 6-lane pool, a 3-story 170’ flume water slide, a bathhouse, a concession stand, a covered shelter, a sand volleyball court, and a kids' play area, to name a few!

Wastewater

Our Wastewater Treatment Facility is located at 640 County Road.  This location is off limits and entry is prohibited to customers and citizens.  Please check in at the Public Works Office if you have business pertaining to wastewater.

As with all our services, we aim to provide reliable services within our permitted parameters.  Our facilities are highly monitored and regulated in accordance with the rules and regulations as well as the employment of full-time staff that are certified through the Oregon DEQ to operate our system.

Streets

New Street Opening Permit and Fees!  See the revised street opening permit form below.

The City’s street revenues are primarily derived from gas tax collected by the State of Oregon and distributed on a per capital basis.

We maintain 31 miles of streets in our community.  Street patching, crack sealing, paving, alley maintenance, snow control, street cleaning, stormwater management, traffic control, etc. are all included under this program along with funding a portion of the city’s code enforcement program.
