Utility Assistance Programs
PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
Are you or someone you know struggling to pay their utility bill?
City Light & Power understands that for some of our customers, these trying times have caused financial hardship. We want to work with you if you feel you might struggle to pay your utility bill now or in the future. Currently, we have partnered with / are offering assistance through the following resources:
Self Sufficiency: 541-938-6627
CAPECO: 1-800-752-1139
Utiliity Bill Assistance: 541-938-3066 or 541-304-9124
Set up a payment plan that will fit with your current financial situation.
The MFMA is acting as the City’s agent for qualifying utility customers for our Utility Bill Assistance Program (UBAP). They can also direct you to other programs that can help customers through these trying times.
The key point in these programs is for customers who need assistance to ask for help BEFORE their services are shut off. If customers wait until their services are shut off for non-payment it can double the cost to get services turned back on. This greatly reduces the number of families that can receive the help they need.
For more information you may call City Hall at 541-938-5531.
