Our mission is to serve the citizens of Milton-Freewater by providing leadership and support for the management of the City’s financial affairs in an efficient, responsive, professional manner from the finance department team.
The Finance Department administers all financial operations of the City. Employees of this department oversee the City’s financial obligations such as maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, utility billing, collections, accounts receivable, special assessments and all general receipts. The Municipal Court daily operations are also included under the Finance Department umbrella.
Members of the Department are the first to greet you as you enter City Hall and assist with most business transactions. Staff members assist citizens who wish to stop or start utility service within the City’s electric utility service district. They will also assist with all other financial transactions and provide information to residents relocating to the area. For

The Department consists of the Finance Director supported by eight full time employees and a part time Municipal Court Judge.
