Electric Department Rates: Irrigation, Soil Drainage & Domestic Pumping

Availability:
Applicable to irrigation and drainage pumping loads less than 100 horsepower for agricultural purposes, as well as for domestic use with pumps larger than 5 horsepower. Energy supplied under this schedule shall not be sub-metered for resale to others.
Seasonal Energy Charge:
$34.00 per horsepower, annually, paid in advance, and $.0266 per KWHR.
Determination of Horsepower:
Horsepower for billing purposes shall be the motor manufacturer's nameplate rating of horsepower output, except that the City may elect to determine rated horsepower as calculated from actual measurement of power input during a period of maximum normal use.
Terms of Payment:
The horsepower charge is due and payable by March 1st. Payment of one-half of this charge may be postponed until July 1st. Pumps will be disconnected if at least one-half of the season minimum is not received by April 1st. Pumps also will be disconnected if any portion of the seasonal minimum remains unpaid past July 1st. The final seasonal energy billing will be made at the end of the season and becomes due and payable when presented.
